Petja Zorec-SS21

Petja Zorec SS21

‘E(L)ECT(IC) E(CLEC)THIC’

Luxury tailoring, patchwork panels and co-ordinating face masks were the order of business when Petja Zorec opened Ljubljana Fashion Week with her much anticipated SS21 collection.

Back once again were Petja’s signature trousers, however this time fused with colourful prints and perfectly placed pockets. The convention bending menswear designer, once again explored the line between femininity and masculinity, to shape the silhouette of the future. What was evidently present in this new collection was the nature of freedom and fun it possesses. A much needed reminder to us all during the current climate and an offering of tangible clothes.

Development of Petja Zorec SS21 began just before the outbreak of the corona virus and upon the simultaneous return from a monthly trip to various locations in India, visible through the use of paisley prints in her designs. The collection acts as a direct response to the current zeitgeist and the beauty that stems from creativity and resourcefulness.

The resulting collection is a reflection of the inaccessibility of new fabrics parallel to the exploration of the stock of materials that were available in the studio. It is a consideration of the cessation of social life, social norms and the possibility of processing impressions from textile-rich and eclectic India. SS21 is all about combining the incompatible into sensual pieces of clothing, full of detail and twists, forming a RTW collection of contrasting print, athletic materials and formal silhouettes with an avant-garde touch, an effortless shift back and forth between work and play.

Keep your eyes peeled for when Petja Zorec’s latest collection hits our Central London Showroom!
