The story behind Seint is very personal and It takes inspiration from the experience of balancing dual identities. The story starts when the co-founder Thiri Naing moves to the UK from Maynmar at the age of 7 and invites the consumers to join her on this personal journey of having to find herself in a world where she is either considered to be ‘too westernised’ or ‘too Asian’. Thanks to her strong family values and her unique bond with a GIA graduate gemologist mother, Thiri has found herself deeply connected to her family roots and discovered her passion for jewellery, leading to the rebirth of the family-run business in 2023. Jewellery has always had a strong influence on both Thiri and her mother and played a special role in their lives. As she mentioned: “Jewellery has always been an important part of my life, from the smallest pieces to the biggest. There are emotional ties attached, and that is what’s important to me.”

When talking about Seint it is inevitable to mention their commitment to sustainability, which lies at the very heart of the business. To ensure environmental responsibility Seint only purchases gemstones in small batches and incorporates recycled gold in small quantities. This is to ensure wasteful consumption is cut to the minimum. Additionally, every new acquisition goes through a strict vetting process, where the Seint team hand-picks each gemstone carefully and creates breathtaking, one-of-a-kind, timeless pieces.
