JU-NNA AW22: WHEN SHIBORI CRAFTS MEETS COMIC PRINTS!

Happy Friday and Happy Fashion Week!

It’s Friday and we have triple the good news:

London Fashion Week starts, it’s the weekend, AND…

JU-NNA releases its new collection today!

You heard that right! JU-NNA is launching its AW22 collection today coinciding perfectly with the start of London Fashion Week and celebrating the membership with the British Fashion Council!

Jun Nakamura, designer and director of the luxury womenswear brand, has chosen to celebrate this milestone by launching his AW22 collection during #londonfashionweek!

This collection offers a delicate twist on femininity with a touch of modernity. Central to the story of this collection will be the nods to traditional Japanese culture and the preservation of treasured craftsmanship that founder and head designer Jun Nakamura continues to modernise for today’s fast-paced world. These pieces continue to honour traditional Japanese craftsmanship using the long-established practice of Shibori offering texture and fluidity and mixing it with rigid materials resulting in unique silhouettes.

Adorning these unique constructions will be two brand new prints that when contrasted allude to Japanese culture, past and present, through the visual narrative and art forms of Shibori, floral motifs and Japanese comics. In addition, a unique handmade tie-dye technique applied with wooden boards lends itself to an exclusive stripe design whereby no two fabrics can possess the same face.

The cherry on top, along with JU-NNA's usual floral pattern, this new collection brings modernity by introducing Japanese comic strip patterns to the garments and making the pieces not only feminine and unique but fun and exciting!

It is now available to loan from our Camden Showroom!

But here’s a preview ;)
